Higher Education’s Role in the Regenerative Movement

Carol Sanford, Senior Fellow in Social Innovation, Babson College

Martin Ping, Executive Director, Hawthorne Valley Association

During this session we will explore new models for higher education that could positively influence the regenerative movement, inform our next leaders, and set a compelling new action research agenda. Leaders of several key academic initiatives exploring regenerative business, economics, and development will discuss their successes and challenges as they help equip students with tools for “radical transformational leadership” (in Monica Sharma’s phrase). How can we move from fragmented departments to a true “university” in the service of wholeness and regeneration? How can academic institutions around the world connect to support a broader transformational movement?
